After months on page 1, I'm now burried at 100 on Google

Pretty weird, but I've had a site in the top 5 on Google, and now it's been burried on page 10 for about a month. It was getting great traffic, I updated it often, then BOOM, it was buried. Nothing I do seems to get it back and it's been over a month now. I've updated content, built more links, etc, etc.

Any tips on how to get it back to it's position on page 1.?

I'll bet this was back in December right? There was an algorithmic change in Google's search results, meaning many sites got juggled around, you appear to be one of them. You need to re-think your SEO tactics and consider new methods to regain your ranking.

Yea, I experienced the exact opposite, I had a site that was way back in the serps for many months then all of a sudden BAM, I'm #2 on page 1, right underneath the authority site

Best thing about it is... I did nothing to the site in terms of adding fresh content or obtaining backlinks

Welcome to the world of GOOGLE

The recent algorithmic change has shaken things up. Look at your competitors sites to see what they are doing and you aren't.

Yeah...I have a couple of those too. Sorry about that.

This was in December, just before xmas if I remember right. Just when you think you have done some good work and are seeing good results...Google kicks you in the head, with a steel toe boot!

I noticed this right after Thanksgiving. I think it was an algorithm change. I only dropped from page 1 to page 2. But what you speak of is not new. Many websites have dropped in the serps with the most recent algo change. Hopefully, they'll come back. Good luck re-establishing those rankings!

So any ideas on what to do? I've just been building links and I have over 3000 backlinks for this site, yet I still can't get it to move. I'd be open to any tips on how to get this thing moving back to the top. It burns me because I feel that the on page SEO for the site is good, my main keywords are in the URL, page title, H1 tags. It has content, plus some adsense and affiliate products. I don't know what else I can do "on page".
