How to take pub ID out and still return ads?

I took my publisher ID out of my adsense code because I want to sell one of my sites but now one of the ad units doesn't even show up on the site. Does anyone know what I replace my publisher ID with so adsense ads will still show up on my site? Thank you...

 

I think you have to take out the whole code of each ad unit
and then the one who has purchased and put in his codes .

 

You cannot put up your ads without the pub ID.. you can prevent others by using your pub id by using the authorization feature in your adsense account

 

all you need to do is to remove your pub id and replace them with xxxx. ads will still show but your account with not be credited for clicks. many people design themes/templates that are adsense ready and thats how they do it. the theme/template user just replace the xxx with pub id.

I forgot, theres a default code that shows Public Ads

 

Just mouse over it or click it once, it should show the ID.
