    Hey guys,

I am well aware that keywords in the URL is a descent help in terms of SERPs ranking. But i was just trying to find a specific report regarding keyword terms in URL.

It's because a client doesn't understand why, even after constant explanation.

    Thanks!

Whoever finds me relevant case studies, will get unlimited stumbles, diggs and +rep.

Matt Cutts, who works for Google stated that keywords in a domain name do carry "minor" weight, but not enough to always out rank a domain that doesn't. In fact, 60% of the time domains with keywords don't rank in the top 10. You can find this out yourself by searching. If anything, making keyword "stuffed" domains could actually deperciate the value of your keywords in the rest of your URL.

I believe that using a keyword in URL is important for yahoo and MSN. Google does not pay so much attention as first two search engines. But still using keywords in URL helps to increase your SERPs in Google too, at least a little bit.

Its only over use of keywords in a URL that get penalised, having your main keywords in your url is a must, because of keyword to url matching
