This is a concept I developed in late 2005 and I launched the website in December 2005, however, with my other online activities, I find I just cannot devote the time to this project.

Background:
With the explosion in online affiliate marketing over the past several years, affiliate marketing has seen an increase in scams, schemes and seductions that have tarnished the reputation of the industry. This not only applies to some affiliate programs themselves, but many of those who market them and the tools of the trade. More sites now flaunt the essential affiliate qualities, ideals and ethics this industry was built upon in search of higher profits with little regard for for those with whom they deal. More affiliate programs, affiliate marketers and affiliate educators are taking advantage of consumers and other affiliates alike out of sheer greed. This has cast the industry into a bad light in the minds of many affiliate marketers and their consumers.

It is time ethical and honest affiliate programs, affiliate marketers and affiliate educators were recognized and held up to the affiliate community and consumers as models of Excellence in Leadership in Affiliate Marketing Principles? Any traffic on the site as of now?

 

Hi Jim,

No. I built it in late November, but have never marketed it. It has just been sitting there. That's why I want to sell it. I don't have time to do anything with it.

To further the concept....I had spoken to a few other affiliate marketers about it. We were tossing around the idea of a "team management" whereby we would all review a site according to the stated guidelines and vote on it's "acceptability" into the program...and conduct periodic site reviews to insure ongoing compliance. This way there could be no "favoritism" or individual bias. We thought this would futher "legitimize" the concept....but like me, these other guys are very busy too. (one of the team members...there are three...is thinking of taking it over, but has not made me an offer.)

As I mentioned, I think the concept has it's place in affiliate marketing and the right person or people could make it work....it would truely be the first certification process exclusively for affiliate marketers that own their own sales sites.

I am open to all serious offers. I am not looking for a crazy high offer, just an offer that is reasonable from someone who wants to further the concept. Price is very negotiable.

I have a figure I would like to get for it....however, as stated, I will sell it to the highest bidder whether that figure is met...is not met...or is exceeded. If no one bids, I will just dismantle the site.

Seriously, though, as I said, I just don't have time for the site. It's value is in what someone thinks they can do to develop and promote the concept further...and turn it into a relevant site for affiliate marketers....like a jl scott did with iCop or similar site....and, I guess the $1300+ in member ebooks and software is worth a few bucks if nothing else.

jl scott of iCop once told me people laughed at him when he started iCop (International Council of Online Professionals). Now he has one of the largest online certification programs with a few thousand members worldwide.
