Hi, I'm not really sure if this is the right topic, but it seems to be most on the theme. And I would like to hear your thoughts or comments on the folowing topic. The Art of Love is hitting the 80.000 visitors today ( in one day ) mostly we have about 10.000 a day or more. You can Image what that does for bandwidth costs. It is covered for most by the game we sell online. But I think it is time to attract some more advertisement. How do your reach them? Is there a broker of some kind you guys have experience with? Would advertisers be interested? All this seems like really noob questions, but The Art of love was intended as a channel for our game at first, we could never imagine that it could be something of it's own. Maybe naif.. I think this could be an interesting topic for more people. I would defenitly like to hear experiences from others. Hans
We tried a bit on our own, and still do it. We just have a link on every page of our site under our main banners that says, "Advertising Info". The page explains our traffic, demographics, pricing, etc.. We have had our best luck with AdSense and various affiliates programs however. You might look at starting there first.
Adsense does contribute a little, about 80 USD a month, maybe 100 USD. Not much. We also use a couple of affiliate programs but they also only contribute very little. I Guess they are not the right ones for our public. Hard to figure out wich ones will convert with our audience. If we annalyse our traffic and our buyers of the game the audience are mostly higher educated, males who like, art, culture, erotic art and are real surfers for news, gadgets etc... We did test some porn traffic but that's defenitly not our audience. Kind a like the whole internet population I think It's not pron but erotic art & culture. It's kind of how you look at it. In The Netherlands we don't really seem to think of this as adult, more 16+ We rate doom 3, or that kind of thing 18+. But americans seems to see it as adult. Hans
In my opinion there's only one thing that can make you some serious money, and it's pron ( ) advertising, I'm afraid.
hmmm... well that industry is gigantic and ran by crookes... I suggest copying another successful p0rn sites tactics.
