A good interview, it always interests me to go behind the words often written on forums etc to see the real person. Bruce opens up a little in the interview but reading between the lines is also coy with his responses. My guess is we are going to see some more magic from Bruce.
It is to be a good interview but person is believing wrongly that this directory is better than others. quoting this statement: Like red rag being to bull I look at directory content, very small and limited and not to be even as good as most hard working directory owners. Charges for linking but clearly msn.realestate are not to be paying to getting listed, so content to be inputted free as you can be seeing most categories are to be having just the one token linking there. But this is to be better than most crap out there to be agreeing with interview. To be wishing this person well but also to be reminding to not be blowing own trumpet when trumpet really not that shiny. just an opinion though.
At least he has a trumpet to blow, just an opinion though. OT you have some very interesting replies for somebody who is just starting out, one can not help thinking you are or have been here in another lifeform.
Thanks to Chetan for giving me the interview! Most seem to be focusing on that one question about comparing the AD to the other thousands out there. Let me ask you how you would compare your own sites to the the 90 percent of directories out there thrown up with free scripts, free templates, hardly any work put into them, no content, no uniqueness and filled with sitewides and adsense? I would say that most of the actual directory owners that post here have directories that are also much better than those too.
I Agree, Guys, i don't see Bruce commenting on the well working directories in the directory world. He just said that his directory lot better than those free scripts with sitewides and adsense in their directories. And the directory has won DOTM just for the good work and uniqueness, isn't it?
As an owner of any business or in pursuit of any goal, you must believe (at least in your own mind ) that you are better or if not at least as good as the competition. If you do not belive you can match it in the big leage, guess what you won't. More on topic i am not sure how many bad directories there are out there, but i do know i could probably count the good ones on my fingers and toes, AD would be one of them.

Focus on detail and a committed approach to functionality, design, content etc etc Along with excellent marketing and support seems to be some (not all) of the applications that Bruce initiates to promote his Directory Does that make him an excellent Directory Owner ? imho Yes it does Thanks Chetan and Bruce for the publication
That is to be wishful thinking as I am to be first time here or maybe I am alien. To say that I would still be honest to truth no matter if to please or offend. Artifex what is directory of month? What is to be worth of this? Who is to enter this? White pages, Yell.com, Craig's list, dmoz, botw? No it is to be of one script to which I am seeing is to be popular to many peoples here but is mainly of rubbish directories who copy each. That is to be good for person for sure and I pat on back but that does not to me be meaning it is any good directory as boasted of. Not being sorry for being honest, I am to still wish this person well and many success. You all seem to be what is english term, 'kissing each other bums' why you do that please tell me? I find funny peoples who are talking big on hidden internet, to face no. I am to already have domain ready and to be looking for template and script which is so problematic as so many out there. I will for sure not be advertising it here it is to be kiss of death. I will surely show you if you sign a nda though.
Its a good looking directory and a great interview, but I really think he is getting ahead of himself by saying that his is the best. JMO
