I signed up for Google Adsense a few months ago. When I signed up it showed my payments on hold until I confirmed. If I remember correctly, they had me confirm my bank account and fill out tax information. So I confirmed and my payments were no longer on hold. Then I logged in a few days ago, and it showed my payments on hold again. It said I had to confirm my phone, so I did that. Then I got a letter saying they are sending me a pin # and I have to confirm that as well. Does everyone have to do so much confirming, or am I just special?
dont assume that all have to go through that. I just did PIN verification, coz phone verification wasnt available that time. Rebecca just send them an email. As far as i am aware, once you complete Tax declaration + Bank confirmation (if EFT) + Phone verification, you are done. No need to send another PIN.
I had a phone pin and snail mail pin as well. One would assume that if you have already received payments, you probably won't have to enter 2 different pins.
I used to have an account with them awhile back. I left on good terms, didn't even reach the $100 mark, but even so they sent me the money earned. I just don't remember them doing all this checking last time. But really it is not a big deal, just curious if that's standard nowadays. I won't email them about it, I'll just enter the pin when I get it. Thanks
I believe they started stepping up the security for setting up an account a few months ago. I did not have to get phone verification when signing up over a year ago. They must have been having issues.
They only send you the pin number at your mailing address through local mail once your account balance reaches $50 mark. It is for the confirmation of your residing country & mailing address I guess.
