Look around for website sales on either this site, or Sitepoint's Premium Websites section...if you hang around for a few weeks you should be able to find a site to buy for 10k for about that much income coming in every month.

It depends on if you want something that completely yours or if you buy from someone else.. Ebay has some great business ideas.. I wouldn't by a site from there but It offers a whole lot of brain sparkers... With 10k you can do a lot.. It just depends on how much work you want to do.. A lot like opening a store... or a little like a turnkey site where all you do is promote.. And it depends on what you like.. and how fast you want a return... Good luck!

for $10k in theory you should be able to get anything to work and make a profit. You could buy a site for $200 and sped the other $9800 on advertising over a 6 month period which will generate traffic and hopefully returning visitors/customers.

What is this? With $10,000, you can aim as high as $20,000 per month. $2,000 per month doesn't need any advertising fees, i have seen many examples.

You could do that fairly easily.

You need a niche, and some hard work. You have the capital, so you should have no problems. I would recommend a membership site for making that coin, so you can do it easily every month. But I am sure others have some ideas.

Give me 5,000 and i'll give you a crash course on how to make 2,000$ a month. I Can cite my successes and give you detailed information with constant messenger support. I've made two sites, each earning 3K a month within 2 months.

I am not sure that you are going to be able to make a 220% annual return on your investment, very easily. If you hit it big, you might, but realistically, you will probably end up spending the $10,000 and getting very little for it. So conserve your money and make sure you have a decent idea before you invest it all.

If I thought I could make $2000/month on my domain (in my sig) with a $10000 investment, I would do it in a flash. :) But I know that this would take a very unusual circumstance.

Lol! Seriously this is a discussion forum, not a marketplace! I get so pissed at all the morans trying to spam links, or fool people on money in these forums! Greedy punks.

OnT: Try to make your own gambling site or something similiar. Done right it will make you millions.

richf, you could, your just using your premium domain name (links.com) as a blog website. Seriously, start throwing up some links to the free content, perhaps develop something like ALLUC? im sure they make over 2k/mo easy :D

and you could do that for a 10k investment XD

I do not know much about the alluc business model, so I am not sure whether they are making money, and if so, how they are making it. One of the things about Alluc-type websites, and there are many like it, is that repeat visitors ignore all ads. When was the last time you visited and clicked on an ad? New visitors, may, or may not click on the ads, depending upon what the visitor is looking for. It is problematic, and I am fairly confident that this type of revenue is rather slim. I don't ever remember what the ads were on Alluc.

I've looked at many business models including golf, directories, social networking, blogging, etc. There is a lot of hype on the net about making easy money, just like there is a lot of hype on television about making money on stocks and homes (not so much nowadays, now that hundreds of thousands of people have lost their shirts on these easy-making schemes). I am now investigating the games industry, but I am not deluding myself into thinking there is any easy way to make money anywhere.

$2000 a month is O.K. depending how much time I have to put into it. If I am putting in 40 hours a week, maintaining the site, fighting of spam and scams, researching new products and services for the site, finding revenue sources, marketing, advertising, etc., then it is hardly a good investment. If I get $2000/month on a one time investment of $100,000, then that is great (24% annual return). If I am trying to make 240% annual return, then I think I would be dreaming.

I've learned a long time ago, that I am competing against tens of thousands of other people, and with that type of competition, if there was easy money, it would have been already found. No such thing in my experience. So, if someone is going to put $10,000 to work, I would do it gradually, and understand the market very well, before spending all that's in the piggybank.

    Hi there,

If I knew of a niche that would return 240% annually, I would have done it long ago. :) There are thousands of people with $10,000 to invest, and would go crazy over that kind of return. If anyone gave you an idea, on this forum, that I thought could make this kind of money, I would have it up on my domain in nothing flat.

So, realistically, I think you will have to figure out yourself, what you understand best, what are your strongest skills, and try to utilize them in the marketplace, as opposed to the other way around. Do any inventory of your own skills and see how you can apply them. This, I think, is the most lucrative approach.

If you dont think you can turn $10000 into $2000 a month you shouldnt own an AMAZING domain like links.com. In fact you shouldnt own any domain.

$2000 is nothing per month and can easily be done with $10000 and even less than that. If you invest $10000 a month in advertising you can turn it into $4000 profit per month. Just do research on the niche before you do this. You arent going to find someone telling you specific niche on here, thats like giving away money.

    Correct.

I could make a simple celebrity membership site that makes that much no problem.

I didn't catch your time frame for ROI, but I could accomplish this easily and for fraction of that investment money.

$10000 to invest? You could easily spread that out evenly over a year and make $100k+ (and probably more)

If it was so easy, then why ain't more people doing it? And how would that possibly work? In order for someone to earn money someone has to loose it. So don't come and say it is easy before you got some experience.

If I were you I suggest to use 30% on website and 70% on marketing. as far as what I already research, If you have High PR Page, you can made more profit by selling space and if you have High traffic, you can made lot of profit by selling product and ads. :)
