Neither of them would be better than the other, they both would be pretty much useless.

I don't mind joomla, if you can get used to the endless options it is well set up to do mostly everything & there are some excellent designs out there ;)

Im a fan of joomla. If you click on the musician link in my sig, thats a site I made with joomla and community builder. You can add friends, comment, add pictures and a bunch of other stuff. But its not like myspace.

Wow nice site, is that your own custom design? I think im going to try a few different scripts, i think im going to try Dolphin by Boonex. Please if any has any more oppinions, please share, i want to make sure this site im working on is perfect and with as few bugs as possible, have been using Entertainment Scripts for several sites but there are a few things that annoy me with their script, also it costs quite a bit.

Use Drupal. It is a better content management software. I have previously used it and I am pretty happy. There are also lots of templates and also plugins

Drupal is good and you can have Vbulletin forum integration with www.vbdrupal.org which makes the framework even more powerful

It really depends, one's man meat may be another's poison, both are equally good in terms of features, it all depends on your preferences. For me between these two I would opt for Joomla.

I had to dig a little through both Drupal and Joomla.
Joomla looked much better than Drupal, especially from a starter's point of view.
Drupal has shitty documentation, while Joomla's tutorials & 'getting started' are very well written, and you can set up a site in less than 2 hours.

Joomla is by far the best i have been using joomla for the past 3 years and no complaints yet, i don't think how ever that you would be able to create a my space clone, joomla is still laking a media player component.

Both my sig links are done using Joomla

Drupal is the future. When Drupal was first developed it was with the coder in mind and back-end class. Joomla soon became the user favourite however its code is considered bloated in comparison

Drupal is launching Drupal 6 soon and it is now gearing towards the user

From Drupal 7 it will probably be very user friendly

I'll second that, Drupal is my choice but to answer your question neither would be a good choice to clone a "myspace" type site

Drupal is much more robust, and is able to be customized easier. It also outputs more standard code and is more SEO friendly right out of the box. However, it has a much steeper learning curve. But if you take the time to learn it, you will be much better off.

You will probably need to write some of your own code to make it be a MySpace clone. You will definitely need to customize it a bit.
