quick 301 redirect question

Hi.
I need to put a redirect 301 for some webpages on my domain.
One one website I read that you should only put one space in between the old file name and the new location. While another website, has two spaces in between. Does it make any difference? What is the correct way?

This is the way i learned to do it

RedirectMatch permanent ^/your-old-page.htm http://www.your-url.com/your-new-page.htm
