I need a decent VPS

Hey. I'm basically enquiring about a VPS company that will fulfill these requirements. I basically want a semi-managed server with the following features for around $60-80 a month:

*At least 70GB disk space but anything 60GB upwards is OK
*Around 500-700GB Bandwidth though I'm not too bothered
*cPanel/WHM

It would be greatly appreciated as I'm starting my own web hosting company.

For that kind of bandwidth, I would go with finding an unmetered port instead. might be cheaper for you in the long run.

 

I would never recommend a unmetered port BW, it will not provide quality bandwidth as it depends on the BW consumption of other servers connected to the same port.

I've been reading reviews and forum posts on both and they seem to be reliable and professional. Although I did find a case of an angry customer of Myriad's it seemed to be a case where the customer was in the wrong. (Deleted his account with 100 clients on it)

These both seem to not oversell and not have thier severs overcrowed.

 

I've had good experiences with cari.net and most of my sites are running on a dedicated server from them. You should be able to get what you need for as low as $60. They're quite strict about the content though and you won't be able to run any anonymous proxies or other objectionable material.

 

You get what you pay for, so go with what an experienced friend has recommended...

What would be the dedicated RAM on the VPS? Where is the VPS located? Is technical/software/hardware based support included? Is support 24/7?

The dedicated ram is at least 256MB. The VPS will either be located in California or Arizona. All technical, software and hardware based support is included in the monthly price. Support is 24/7 by email, ticket and phone.

$70 can get a cheap dedi to start with. Still, you can look at zone.net or virpus.com offers for VPS...they're reliable.

 

Ryan, You should look for UK based host who will offer you decent VPS at cheap price.
As you are going to start your own hosting business you should get a host who is available round the clock for your support.

Just search for VPS Hosting at googleUK and you will get few reliable results
You can go with anyone who you think is more active and reliable.
