1.) Is there believed to be a fixed percentage that google pays you? If the company is paying 5.00 per click, will google pay everyone the same amount for that click? Does page rank affect what percentage you get? I.E. If you have the exact same ad on your page on day, and someone clicks on it and you get 10 cents, could you get 3 dollars for that same click a month later, when your page rank had gone up? 2.) I am making a site about weight loss. Weight loss is a high paying keyword. I have some seemingly good ads on my site like 'weight watcher ads' winsor pilates ads, etc. I have alot of the same ads as if you search for weight loss in google. When i did the research, the #1 spot for 'weight loss' was 5-6 dollars. But my report showed 24 clicks, and only .67 cents. I thought weight loss is supossed to be high paying. My site is still under construction, i dont have any traffic, but I had some freinds go to it and click around. 3.) This one is really confusing the hell out of me. I have some ad blocks on my home page. It has been up for a day or so, plenty of time for the robots to crawl it. If I go on to my site, I will see good ads. But then If I reload, I see PSAs. Reload again-normal ads Sometimes if i reload, the ad dissapears, then reappears when i reload the page again. What is going on??!!
Um, no im not. My freinds went to my site from their computer and clicked on the ads. like once from each computer. Can someone help me out here?
A couple things.... First of all, Jarrod is right. Knock off the test clicks, as well as your friends or you won't need to worry about it. (I'm sure to tell my friends/family not to click my ads). There was an article I read somewhere that quoted one of google's top brass that they pay somewhere around 38%, I can't remember. You should remember, the max bid for a particular keyword doesn't mean that the advertiser will pay that price. He will only a penny more than that of the competing ads.(assuming they are scored the same)
1. Google won't tell you or anyone else how the earnings algorithm is working. It's not only the payment per click that the advertiser is paying google, but its more than that. 2. Read the TOS before you will do something wrong. 3. Like you said, you site is under construction so maybe google didn't indexed your page (google adsense bot) or you don't have enough content in your page. Good luck
Well, I have enough content for the robots. I have like 100 articles about weight loss. The url, title, and meta tags are are designed to attract the right ads.
Yes you're... Just keep doing that and sooner or later you're going to get banned 24 "friend clicks" may not be enough but if you continue that... You can red rep me all you want, but first please read the TOS
You don't need 24 clicks to see that...If it was one or 2 i may acept as an "honest" excuse of someone that didn't read the TOS, but 24? Common... EDIT If i were you, i would email Google sayin i was sorry and that would not happen again!
I clicked on it twice. It wasnt registering on my report, so I called my freind and asked him to click on a couple of my ads. He called back and said ok, i clicked on all of them a bunch of times. I asked him to click on a couple.... oh well. About 30 min later, it showed 24 clicks and 67 cents. Then about an hour later, it showed only 5 cents.
yea its online, but its not indexed. Im still working on it, so i havent done anything to get traffic. How do you get your site indexed by google?
If you want to keep your account i would do what Jarodboy says... If you dont... just let it go... Your choice
