    Unless it's a direct link (<a href="http://www.mysite.com"></a>), it is not counted as a vote to your site by SE. The "links" on http://www.pixelyourpage.com do not point to your site at all, to spiders they are just links to pages on the pixelsite.

    Not true. If the link simply passes though a page with a tracker script and a 301 redirect then it will pass PR.

    However some of these redirects will include a nofollow redirect and will not pass PR.

    Having said this there is no seo benefit to these type of pixel adverts as there are so many outgoing links and also the links use image mapping which search engines cannot follow.

    Well unless the page the link goes through is cached by Google it can't pass PR.

    If I create a page called links.php containing the following code:

    header("HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently");
    header("Location: $url");
    exit();

    PHP:
    and link to it in the format domain.com/links.php?url=http://www.mysite.com then the PR will be passed in the link. Fact.

    If I want to add some php script to track the visit before I do the redirect then I can do this without a search engine ever knowing.

    This is how they're doing it.
    <script>window.location.href='SITE';</script>

    So your site won't get anything.

    Fpr pixelyourpage.com even if its link lets google follow, it won't do squat, since there are sooooo many links there.

    It was a good idea the first time round with the original milliondollarhomepage.com

    And I think the second site launched is doing quite well aswell. But dont expect any real PR value from these links. The only thing that they would be good for would be traffic, and only for the first few.

    The rest are getting so little traffic its not really worth it.

    At least this page has some PR (most pixel pages don't have any).

    Seems to me that if they're linking with JS, all that PR won't do an advertiser any good.
