Submitting your website to Digg seems to help you get a top position temporarily

It seems that whenever I submit my website to Digg I always get a top position in Google for a couple of weeks. After that your website kind of fades away to other pages. Why is this?

Digg is an authority site so your link in Digg will be ranked.

I'm not referring to the Digg link. I'm referring to your actual website link. It seems that your position in Google gets better after you submit to Digg. It's odd though because you seem to lose your position after a couple of weeks.

i dont think that your site get boost in ranking after submitting it to digg. as you will not get link from any keywords or any weight of links. it will help to get traffic only

Oh ok, maybe I'm just imagining things or it's just a coincidence. Digg does, however, seem to get new websites indexed more quickly by Google.

Digg always gets a good ranking. If your submission becomes popular it'll do even better.
