Is there any information anywhere ON who payouts the highest percentages of a click

    e.g.

    1$ spent Google get x %
    1$ spent Yahoo get x %

    Hope that makes sense

Adsense pays you around 75% to 80% of the gross revenue. It's the same for YPN. It's just Adsense display relevant ads that pay less, while Yahoo displays the irrelevant ads that pay more.

on the same sites....ypn ads have consistently paid out more

google actually rotates high pay ads with low pay

click through pretty much the same...yahoo is by far better, so much so i no longer use or recommend adsense (unless you are not a business in the usa)

I don't think that many would agree with you about the CTR rates being the same. Yahoo ads are so poorly targeted that you need to be really lucky to get the same CTR as with Adsense. Yahoo may still be paying more than Google, but this too has declined sharply over the last several months, and for me especially since around Christmas 2007. Also, I am noticing they are rotating low pay with high pay ads more and more often, just as Google apparently does.

google has a SMARTER contextual ad system than yahoo... so if your page is dynamically generated with DIFFERENT content PER VISIT, then yes, YPN lags far behind.

But honestly, its not that much of a difference for the average site.

If your page is about Blue Base Ball Caps

Then google will give ads about blue baseball caps

Yahoo will give ads about caps, shirts and other apparrel

Guess what, people who like one thing, surely like other things, and related things

and when I used BOTH google and YPN, I would switch them out....

    SAME CTR!!!!

YPN= MORE MONEY no matter how you slice it (unless you have large international traffic -- which could be another reason why you see shrinking revenues...check the visitor locations)

if your traffic is from the usa

switch them for a week or two...see what happens :)

you will then be a believer in YPN!

yes...try them out, the best way to get answers sometimes is to try both, just at different times, whichever works better for you, use them.
