Expired domain, how do I register?

I saw a expired domain that I want, that has been expired for over a month now.

I know there's a grace period and all that on it. I try to look at pool or snapnames but doesn't seem available.

Should I backorder then? Or will it go on like pool or something for auction when it's availible.

Also does anyone know the timeframe before domains will officially drop or go to auction?

    Thanks

What's the extension, if .com, for most of them, you need wait 60 days.

You can take a look at the Status, if it's 'pendingDelete', you can calculate the drop date by look at the updated date and add 6 days

Hmm 60 days. So if I backorder it, I might it get at like $59 bucks. Otherwise I just wait til it completely drops and get it for like $10. But if someone backorders it, its gone right?

I would personally take the chance to save $49 and wait til it drops, thats just my opinion though, unless you know its going to be sought after by others dont waste the money.

Hmm, Thanks for your opinion. That really did just skew my position on things a bit.

So after 60 Days, its dropped completely, How long does it take to get to being availble to register.

I would personally do backorder it, if it is nice domain name. I remember, 10 years ago, I lost my one big chance. now I can't buy that domain for 10.000 dollars. if you really like it, best way is do backorder, even 60 dollar.

good domain names are selling very fast....

Hmm, well it is a pretty good domain I guess...

But like only .com is registered so I don't know how popluar it is. I mean for resale purposes you probably couldnt get a lot out of it, unless it's end user. I want to use it to be developped.

Iuno how much I would pay for it though. $60 I guess I might, but if it was $70, I might pass.

Is there anyway of finding when is the exact date that I it will be avalible to be registered at like godaddy or whatever?
