How do they create these ads?

They call them "peel away" ads and they are displayed in top right corner of the page. Example: http://www.bannersmall.com/peelorder.php

The company says it takes seconds to install and is just about 1 line of code, but I searched around and couldn't find the answer as to how it is done technically.

I will truly be greatful if anyone knows how to setup an ad like that the easy way (just like they claim).

    Thank you.

I have been playing around with these on some sites. They seem to be a good place to tuck away a "special" offer (affiliate ad) without taking up precious "real estate" on your pages.

They run on javascript... and there is a bit more than 1 line of code to them... which is what you place on the your page for that corner to display. There is also the javascript code (separate file) which you link to, and then the HTML page which serves as the landing page for users that click on that corner. Then there are also the related graphics that need to be uploaded to go with this peel-a-way corner and page.

    I agree with you Lethal7.

It looks to me like an innovative javascript piece of code, but anyway javascript.

Hello Don, for the link - I will check it out. It would suck to actually buy something that can be easily coded, but I guess in modern day and age you have to be ready to pay for knowledge. :)

Thanks to other responses as well - I wouldn't know, so if you think its done via javascript, then that's how its done.

I think this kind of script is being sold at the Buy and Sell section. You can search it there.

Thank you. I will definitely do some searching there as I am not in a hurry. :)

Actually, I think there are a few ways to get to desired result. The challenge is to find the quickest and easiest way to set these ads. The company that design them says it takes seconds, so I am assuming they know something some scripts out there don't... :)

It's Adobe Flash. I'll try and find the link to how to make them, I've seen it before.

I think only the image your seeing in the corner is flash... that image can also be a jpg or gif. The code that makes the peeling effect is javascript.
