That's how I see it. There's a lot of undervalued stocks that are just too cheap pass up right now. Here's one small cap tech stock I'm looking at: Wind River Systems. Symbol: WIND. Wind River just became a partner of Google's Open Hand set Alliance and is making stuff for cell phones that will work with the Android OS. I like the idea of small risky stocks like this. I figure that if you place enough small bets on small cap tech stocks like this when tech is doing well, one of them will work and make you 10 fold, maybe 20 fold your money.

 

Guys We are in a bear market and its only gonna get worse, great time to short the market, but when the next bull market arrives it will be huge and the main sector to lead this next bull market are nanotechnology companies. Start doing your research now because you can always find the bargains during a down market, keep an eye on them and pounce after the next market crash works its way through.

 

i agree with you, next decade will see lot of companies and investors pushing for greener technologies adoption, so companies supplying green/clean tech will outperform the broader stocks.

 

Gold is barely half of what it was in 1980 when you adjust for inflation. There's a long way to go for gold and other commodities before a top. I'd say we're about 40% way through a bull market in commodities. Commodity bull markets usually last between 14 to 20 years and this one only started in late 99.

Global demand in commodities is steadily increasing across the board while supplies are continuing to fall in many cases.

Even with demand slowing prices can still go up in commodities because supply can fall faster than demand. This scenario occurred in the 70's when there was a recession. Demand decreased but supply decreased faster and commodity prices had a bull run for well over a decade.

I'd look to buy agricultural etf's.

Food prices will continue to go up.

 

I got out of the small stuff as I have lost over $30,000+ in just stocks under $10 that you have your hopes on.

As for the few posts right now, if Bush puts in his plan as of now you may see the bear die

 

Any Advice for shares in oil, gold and metal.

Im worried about my metal shares, because i purchased a decent amount a few months ago.

 

I don't know much about commodities metals, gas, metal etc.

I do follow up on gold as of now though and for now I would long it. Gold company stocks are still struggling a little due to everyones thought of depression but won't get hit has hard as other stocks as of now. Will just have to see what happends.

I lost a couple of thousand dollars. Sold my shares yesterday. Nothing much compared to the amount i have made over the past year. How long should i wait before investing again?
