DO NOT CLICK ON ANY LINK THAT LOOKS LIKE A REAL DP THREAD BUT LEADS TO A DIFFERENT SITE!

Just got a PM from a new member. I can see that he is sending that PM to many members.

Do not fall for it. If you click the link it will take you to the page which has similar looks as DP login page.
DO not provide your login their.
    Its a phishing attempt.

    Got PM from this member.

I generally do not click on links but the action was taken quickly in this case. It is sad to see that thousands of ppl are using their brains in criminal activities. Wish they could put it to better use :(

Those receiving the PM might alert the others on their distribution list.

    Thanks

Hilarious...phishing to get a DP account. Only proves that this place is where the scammers exist. People complain about paypal but I have a feeling the percentage of fraud here is MUCH greater than even Ebay. Sometimes being a member here feels more like walking a minefield. Caution is required.

    Forward Message

I decided I needed to see what this flake was doing, and went to what I thought was a digitalpoint log-in, and typed my log-in and password, than, seen it was redirected. I have changed my password here right after I realized it... I see he is banned.. Any way you could let others know to ignore him or delete all his PM's? Could be a heck of a mess if he starts logging in under different users...

    Thanks

There are several posts on this. If there was a distribution list on your email you could try to alert all those who received the same email as you. Anyone who has compromised login info, should immediately change password before hacker does.

I'd be more afraid of him going out and starting stuff in forums. "Your site sucks, you dont know what your talking about, etc"... He could start some real ugly battles in the forums... I have no distribution list..

DP might have to disable the bbcode url. It's how they are able to do this without being obvious.
