I've been slowly chipping away at the MySpace stuff trying to draw traffic by posting and joining a couple of sites. Not particularly easy because I'm in a very niche crowd, but one day... all of MySpace shall bow before me!

I did absolutely nothing but message back and forth with a couple of people on MySpace and I get 150 uniques/day to the site in my profile.

I promote a club night on there and have linked up with a lot of useful people - artists, DJs and the like.

There's a fair amount of crap there but some useful stuff too.

Lol - I only set up a fake account a week ago, as a member of the female sex and I've already had two offers of rampant sex and three requests for naked photos. Us men are pigs...

Not seeing traffic yet, but must add some links... :)

I created a profile a week ago and posted a pic of a teen girl suckin on a lolly sugggestivley and so far I have 700 friends, most all guys. Some of them repeatedly asking me to meet them or one deranged chinese guy always asking "you come live me with baby, i be good to you"

I am making a site with myspace glitter comment icons, funny movies, stories, games etc. Im gunna start promoting it next week. Hopefully it will take off like a landslide. I figure as it is now I probably have a marketing ability to reach about 20k myspace ppl. Assuming out of the 700 friends they have an average of at least 20ppl as friends looking at thier profiles.

Not too sure if anyone has mentioned it but myspace seems full of kids almost. If your target market is that, it might work.

it makes a ton of sense, and I believe it's not a bad thing to monitor a cyber playground for teens and preteens, but it still sucks that it has come to that.

Baby Boomers have way more money than any other generation. Too bad most of them suck with computers.

Most of the people on myspace are young, with little or no money, if your trying to sell something, myspace is not the place.

Rofl yeah they are. Most kids have more disposable income than thier parents. Think about it, they live at home, most of them for little or no rent. They hold jobs that make 8-12 bucks an hour. That translates to like 1500-2100 bucks a month to throwaway. Now look at most parents who are locked into mortgages and carpayments, insurance, etc, etc. . . I know I had more disposable income than my parents at 18, and Im sure a ton of other kids have cash to burn everymonth.
