Before I start writing, I am going to tell you very honestly about what is happening in marketing world and what it has to do with you. Here is the thing, if you have money to spend on any money making method. Cool, you are on the correct track and you shall always make the money you deserve. However, if you don't have money to spend, you can make money too. I am going to show you why I said Dp marketing method sucks and how it can impact you. A simple step to show you how to start building a business. First you need a domain. You can get it cheap anywhere and I am not going to explain much about it since this is an IT forum . If have had nothing to sell, cool. You cab always create your own product. Now please don't give yourself any excuses that you cant create a product. Everyone has their own talent and you can leverage on it. If you can't, go out there and get some quality PLR products and so forth. Here is the most important part: Have you ever heard anybody saying : Money is in the list. The list means the subscribers of yours. Lets said you bought a PLR product and you offered it free to your visitors. They have to Opt In ( give their email and name ) in order to get the ebook or ay other thing. The most people Opt In, the larger your list is. Now many people in Dp forum misunderstood this. The list owner is not spamming you. It is because you opted in means you subscribed to his/her list. Now, the thing is that you can't even said they spam you because it is legal to do that if he follow the Can Spam Law. The Truth About Making Money With Few Hours Of Work. You often heard this, is it true? Yes it is. Why? It is true unless you own a list. You have to build a relationship with your loist by sending educational resources and share your knowledge with them. Lets do the math: Your list size : 10000 Subscribers. You promote a product that gives you %75 commission. Lets said commission is $47. The sales page convert at %2. you send out an email promoting the product. Your profit : 10000 X %2 X $47 = $9400 This is an example of making money with only few hours of work. The Truth About List. I have to be truthful and honest to you or you won't learn anything. I believe a lot of people will give me few red rep- because I said something that they don't like but I want to tell you this is the truth. Do you want to live in lie and keep making no money or you want to be truthful to yourself and others and make a lot of money. That is your choice. I don't care if you rep- me. Dp members, if you want a successful business, you need a list. Checl out myspace and facebook and all top website in the world. They had your email and you are on their list. Imagine having a list of multiple billions of people, you send out your email with your promotion, but nobody opens your email, how much would you make? Even with a responsive list you won't see everybody opening every e-mail you send. so your formula is a bit simplistic. Also you just told general stuff, although it should be worthwhile to newbs, they still don't learn that much from your post. I'm just saying, isn't this what every so called "guru" preaches about? "the money is in the list" combined with "find a niche you're passionate about" is being broadcasted from every square inche of the web. The last quote is a bad one, if you're doing IM around your favorite subject you can forget that it's your business, allowing you to wander off and stop working. If you're not that passionate about something, then you'll remember it's to get paid and that should motivate you to get going. The only passion you could work with is IM, but not "I love IM so I'm going to start an IM site!". I'm saying use your passion in IM to do all kinds of niches. Don't like to work? Don't like IM? Hi all, First off, this is a general guide here for all the members. I don't mean it is easy. However, realize that some doesn't know about it, it can be a good guide. The truth is that there are a lot of processes involve such as manage a list, building relationship and so on. This is kinda more in depth but I am giving a general guide here. If you want to know more about list building, go out there and find some courses or free ebook that teach you how to do it. There are a lot of great courses out there. First off, you don't expect most people to buy your product. In direct response marketing, you don't need %100 of your traffic to buy in order for you to profit. You just need approx %2 to profit ( Just a rough figure ). Same rules applied, you don't need all to buy in order for you to profit. You just need some to profit. Yup, I admit I am tired of all these same theory preached by a lot of people . Yes, I said I am tired and I once said " Man can you give us new information?" The more I go in depth, the more I discover. I am wrong. The most simple and basic theory is the core of any business in the world. I am once like you and I understand the feeling. But guess what, the basic is the king. Try go out there and ask any business, most successful business built around simple idea and the basic of a business. Try build a list yourself. You will be glad you did. This is kinda controversial because there are a lot of different saying about it. My opinion is, do something that you like and passionate about and don't forget it is a business too. That is a perfect combination. You know what man, if money is the sole thing that motivates you, you will be out of the business soon. I mean very very soon in this contested environment. Don't believe? Try it yourself. If you are still in business if money motivates you, we will see what happen to you. One work, play on your strength, yes you can outsource your weakness to others. Yea, to be completely blunt, your post is useless. You don't talk about how to create a list. All you say in that entire post is "Building a list with lots of people will make you money fast". That's just complete common sense, only you somehow expanded it into a long, drawn-out post that was meaningless. I admire the effort of trying to help people but had to be completely honest with you.
Nice post but your math is not telling the truth. People who want to download (let's say) free ebook choose to subscribe to our mailing list. But most of them won't even bother to your newsletters so most people won't buy your products. If i want to download something free, I would write my email address in that site's mailing list. But soon after I downloaded the ebook, usually I choose to unsubscribe. This is a common thing. And about "find a niche you're passionate about", I don't think it's true. Many people found real ways to make money online through niche that they even did not understand (before they created the website). Sometimes your "own" niche has too many competitors and is not promising at all. I was the owner of one sport site and I got plenty of visitors, ever had around 100,000 uniques per month. I love the topic but I didn't make good amount of money, less than $1,000. With the same amount of traffic in a niche that I even didn't know (before I created my website about it), I make much more money.
As I posted as an example. As I said, there are resources out there, just google it. Please remember not all people does things like this. Serious marketer weho really wnated to learn know some newsletter is valuable. I admot , some people will do that. And I admit, some of the marketers will blast you with promotions. That is common, but what you want to do is to focus on the knowledge that you want to learn. If you keep wanting free stuff and unsubscribe later, that is you freedom. But I want to ask you a question, most of you said this is simple and some said useless. Do yo own a list and build relationship and others? If not, then I am happy to said try and do so and test. Don't judge everything by your opinion. Results may shock or dissapoint you. But guess what, this is what multi million marketers do. If you said it is wrong, then prove it.
