Email Verification

I know i have posted this before but i continue to get spam mail constantly. It is starting to bother me. I know with php you can do the random generated number that humans have to enter but is there anything like this for asp. I am very new to asp so i need it to be something for "dummies". I know there are alot of sites out there that try to help with this but all of them explain it as if you were a pro at asp but if that were the case i wouldnt have this problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

They are called CAPTCHA images - you can google and find plenty of examples of code for these.

 

Thanks. I looked into it but i cant seem to figure it out. I will have to keep looking around for the amateur site that shows step by step process.

 

You dont mention if you are using classic asp or asp.net.... if you are just learning I would hope that it is .net given classic asp has been superceeded for so long and has no benefits which i know of over .net....

Astraroth Thanks for your help man. As i said before i am an extreme beginner and no one ever wants to help me out. I have been trying to do some continued education on database and cms implementation but the schools in my area are pathetic. I was teaching my professors flash in college.
