HI Dr Web, When we go to Options, choose the reading tab, we can't find anything that lets us choose or
any that says anything about front page or static page. We have wordpress version 2.2. any ideas?

    Thank you very much,

    John

That's weird. I checked a 2.1 and current install and at the beginning of that page is static option. I even used it for a while a site of mine. What does your Options > Reading tab say?

That situation is very strange, I have a blog with WP 2.1 and other with WP 2.3.2 and in both I have that option, it's the first thing on the top of the page, I cannot see why that doesn't appear on your version, it's maybe better you make that question in wordpress.org message boards.
