When I first released my forum I was getting on average 70 members per day. Now I only get between 5-10. I have made another thread concentrating on how to improve this by the appearance of my forum, but this thread is how I can improve it by marketing.

The blog is www.customizepsp.co.uk. I am quite happy with how this looks, and I have placed ads by google on it, which I think seem to fit in well with the forum style

Now the main issue is the forum. When I previously administratored a vbulletin forum (the same forum in practice) there were always more members online (around 15 at a time). Now there are usually between 5-10 members online and usually 5 + guests. I dont know if it was more successful because of the appearace or the marketing (I didnt market it so I dont know how it was done) as the content is more or less the same (infact there is a lot more content on the current forum).

The forum is www.customizepsp.co.uk/forums . You can see that the forum has google ads at the top and the bottom and it also has an advert under the first post of everything which is TTZ media, not adsense. If you look at the differeny forum styles, youll see they all have ads in similar places, with the colors fitting to match the forum style. So is there anything I can do to improve the ap placements? Should I replace TTZ with adsense?

If im lucky I will make $1 a day, which isnt that good really, seeing as there are 2,077 members and usually around 10 members online. On a survey I did all the members that took it said they didnt click the ads.

    Yesterday, heres what I got:

Page impressions Clicks Page CTR Page eCPM [?] Earnings
    3,922------------ 7----------0.18%-----------$0.32---------$1.27

    And last 7 days:

    19,223-----------40---------0.21%------------$0.20--------$3.88

    All time:

    46,370----------152---------0.33%-----------$0.34---------$15.94

Im not sure but I dont think think is very good.

If you type in customizepsp on google the first 4 results are my website. If you type in customize psp we are the third result on the second page (through the old domain of 1360.co.uk)

So guys what can you diagnose from this? Any ideas what I could do to improve things?

Thanks for reading, I know it was long post lol.

BTW sorry if this is in the wrong section, as I know adsense and marketing are different.

EDIT: Sorry for some reason this has been posted twice :(

From what I saw, look is not a problem.
I will suggest joining as many forums as you can. Put you site links on sigs.
For blog join blogBurst.com and similar ones.
Submit content on social networking sites, and do that every day.
    Hopefully that will help you.
