Hello guys. I went with my friend into a debate about Manual or Automatic gear in driving these days. while people prefer the auto these days but I'm a classic person that still likes the manual (at least I feel doing something in driving :D )

Do you guys prefer the manual or automatic ? Is there a reason ?

I have to go with automatic... I live in a very crowded city ( dubai ), just imagine all the pain in traffic.

if the traffic is ever resolved then i'll go with manual

being a racer, i would always prefer manual gearshifts cause you can definitely manipulate the gears to beat the traffic ahead and win always :) moreover automatic transmissions require a lot more attention, servicing, costly spares when compared to its manual counterpart.

My favorite is automatic transmission which helps your left from pressing the clutch constantly ;)

I prefer to drive automatic cars, because it's less tiresome to drive through traffic infested streets in my country.

I drive a manual car like now. But with a heavy traffic jam nowadays..... seems automatic gear is the best choice as you don't need to press that clutch and hurt your foot.

Manual all the way. More control. There's only a few cars I would have with an auto box. But manual would be my preferred option.

I have tried only manual, but I guess I would choose manual over automatic as it is cheaper, & it feels like a real drive, if you know what I mean :)

Automatic because I don't like shifting gears. It's too much work when I'm in a traffic jam to be shifting gears.
