...titled "The Adsense Domino Theory" written by William Charlwood (www . factsaboutadsense .com).
probably the reason they introduced the 90-day time limit for new publishers. this might be an extreme example but it does explain how much Google is paying for the referral program alone.

I wouldn't have thought the $100 commision you get counts as revenue. All they would have had to do was distinguish that commisions on refferals don't count towards your $100 needed to pay your referrer.

I'm not sure how a 90 day rule would stop a domino effect as once it starts it completes within days.

Interesting...but do you think the $100 that people make from a commission would count towards the person above them earning a commission, or would only earnings through ad-clicks count? Either way its a fun chain of events to ponder :)

Thee's probably another clause somewhere that its only $100 earned on AdSense, I'd be amazed if the Referral fees counted towards it.

you raised a good point, yfs1. the 90-day rule wouldn't counter this effect, since it only takes one person in the chain the make $100 within 90 days.

Dio, I tried combing for such a clause, but i couldn't find it either. but then why the 90-day rule? to de-emphasize small time publishers?

William sent me that email this morning.
Yes, it seems farfetched, but as he says, it could happen.

I tend to trust what William says as he has helped me a lot on learning about google adsense and adwords.

I highly doubt it works that way. Google isn't that stupid, I really think google only counts the real adclicks.

Btw, I wonder if anyone ever made $100 for a referal with the 90 days rule.

I don't think that earnings from referalls is "real earnings", only the clicks count as earnings for the referal fee..

I'm definitely sure that the referral payment won't be taken into account. They will definitely have been smart enough to think of a situation like that.

I agree. Or else Google is seriously going to be loosing money.

I believe it is the money is dealt with sperately.

has anyone actually received a referral? i'm guessing it shows up as a "referral earning" which wouldn't be part of the regular earning program.

Yeap! All seemed to agree that the comission aka bonus will NOT be construed as the daily income. It will be reported separately in your Adsense account.

Hence, I hereby announce the Adsense Referral Domino Theory is a fallacy.

Exactly what YSF1 said, the adsense referral doesn't count as revenue so that entire theory is bunk.

Even Trotters from Only Fools and Horses would be millionaires this time next year if that commission is count as regular earning.

100$ is just one time award for referring someone profitabile for Google.

Yeah I think those treehuggers would definitely have taken into consideration the difference between referral fees and Adsense earnings. They'd be dumb not to, and G has never appeared dumb to me.

    NEWSFLASH!

my friend has forwarded G's reply to me. I am going to paraphrase it here.

Google says that the 'earnings' that will qualify for referral fee includes Ads for Content, Ads for Search AND REFERRAL FEES.

G then went on to say a few things, and although they did not give a clear cut answer like "Yes publishers A to Y will get their $100", G implied that they will. I shall quote this last line from them,

    (my friend gave an example of A -> B -> C)

thus the 90-day (now apparently 180) for a chance that either publishers might not clear their PIN holds before the time limit is up. :)

I think account will only be credited with $100 if your referral will make $100 thru adsense not another referal ?...
