I shouldn't have deleted my windows partition, IE7 looks interesting.

    So how's MSN search integrated?

Pretty much exactly the same way Google search is integrated in Firefox - Right next to the search box...

Expect to see a *lot* more referrals from MSN over the next 12-24 months...

I've been using it for a couple of days and so far I'm liking it.

What surprised me was the screenshot posted in this thread, there is a google search box.We all know MS and it's really strange that they allow users to switch to google search.

Of course they allow it - they just don't do it by default.

Actually my search was already set to google as default in IE 6 and when I upgraded it saved those settings. I have to give credit where it's due (much as I dislike MS) but they did leave it alone and didn't take the opportunity to change my default Homepage or Search Engine..

After altering the font issue (which I accept is just my personal preference and others may disagree) I reckon its all good.

Anyone know how to get rid of the search box to the right of the address bar? Its not really needed if you have the google search bar....

Pretty good. Like the Psuedo Hover. Dislike the RSS style highjacking, sucks for those using FeedBurner.

i30... instead of some screen shots, take a look here: http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/default.aspx aslo talks about Compatibility and updated CSS behavior - was that a question here too? Sorry tired! Other than the tabs - I'm very pleased with the fact that I can finally search through my history, i have a memory like.....

There isn't a right click option. Hold ctrl when clicking a link to open it in a new tab or press CTRL + T to open a new tab.

(I would like to re-iterate my dislike for this version while I am here :p)

Yeah, I spent ages getting an XML style sheet working for the feeds on my Articles site and now IE7 will make that work useless for a lot of my end users..

I had incorporated a load of subscribe links into the style sheet that prompted people to add them to their My Yahoo\MSN etc. etc. and now that is all gone.

Well look slike microsoft is drumming up something to compare to firefox.

Unfortunately FireFox is very well supported by the open-source community so they will always be up to date with what the internet community wants, not what microsoft think they want.

It is a long overdue update. But still it looks promising.

IE7 has to be the shittiest piece of crap browser ever released.

It eliminates the ability to use hacks that removed bugs in its css but does not remove the bugs.

    Its slow and unintuitive.

I like the fact that 'get Alexa data' is a right-click menu option.

But try adding a new favorite when you have literally hundreds of folders - this beta version drops down ALL your folders, making it less than easy to choose which to add your new bookmark to!

It's not really a release, it's a preview of a beta. It's not meant to be ready for the public, it's meant to be used by developers to so that they can make sure their sites are ready. It's not really intuitive, but it's a step in the right direction for MS.
