Im pretty sure they will get bought out sooner rather than later. The same thing happens to lots of popular sites.
Why is Yahoo! buying up all this useless junk. Last thing they bought was the Konfabulator thing I think. Where are they going with this.

Dunno, but they bought Weblogs, Inc for something like $25 million. And that's just a network of blogs with $3 million in revenue.
People buy businesses for their growth potential. I'm sure if Yahoo wants to buy Digg, they would've done their due diligence. Personally, I think Digg fits nicely into the social networking/longtail model which is what Yahoo and community portals are all about.
If that's what you class as useless junk I'd love to take a look at when you throw away in a yard sale... Really, let me know next time you have one and I'll be there in a flash.
