    Hey everyone!

Quick Q: Does yahoo have somethign similiar to googles sitemap submission feature? I am barely listed on yahoo and would love to begin working on the site a bit to get into the higher ranks on this search engine. I'm doing ok on google and great on msn.

Yup Yahoo does. You just need to create a .txt file with all you page URLs and then submit that once it is uploaded to your hosting server.

Found this by searching this forum: http://www.nuah.com/yahoo-sitemap-generator

Tryign it out now, we'll see what it can do...

Results: Out of ~42000 pages on my site, it only crawled ~300pages. It looks like it only crawls a layer or two of links and doesn't really dig in deep. So i guess i'm back to square one. I'm going to submit the google sitemap (xml file) and see if that helps me. Yahoo doesn't like me as much as G or msn do. I need to fix this...

No, as far as I can tell they only can use the TEXT version of
the google sitemap. One line per url.

Also, please correct me if I am wrong, but I think that you

Yahoo is always 2 steps behind Google. I'd like to see them innovate once in a while.

The CRAZY thing is that the google sitemap is indexed on Yahoo. I have no links to this sitemap, I just have it on the
root directory so Google can find it.

I don't want this one to be visible to the public, it has no links
and it doesn't make sense to have it linked to by Yahoo.

    best regards

Actually sometimes RSS feeds are displayed higher that your actual site on Yahoo sometimes. Maybe Yahoo will come up with something better next time.
