with AdSDAQ you get to set your own cpm (you set it higher than the eCPM you earn with adsense), and if adsdaq can't pay it, they'll send the ad request to adsense. you'll either make the same money or better. thoughts?
ADSDAQ is an ad exchange.. pays out just like an ad network. works with ad nets, too. http://exchange.contextweb.com Adsdaq opened its self-serve app in october.
adsdaq pays you whatever cpm you ask (yeah, they're not going to pay you a $10 cpm), and if adsadq can't pay it.. then they just send the ad request to your current ad net
compared to other ad nets, i don't know why you wouldn't use it. not saying to junk your existing net. just layer it in. put adsdaq first (ask for slightly higher cpm then what you're getting now), then leave your current ad net in.
To answer a few questions.. Question 1: the url for web publishers is: http://exchange.contextweb.com/sellingdesk/ Question 2 - the review: the link that was given to the review a couple posts up could not be older.. the self-serve didn't start until this past October and they reference June. Question 3: "So, you can receive free advertising for any site you choose on other ad networks?!" Sorry, let me make myself more clear with an example. Let's say you use AdSense currently. It pays you an effective CPM (cost per thousand impressions or views of an ad) of $1.00. You'd go sign up for adsdaq and ask for $1.20 CPM. And then you would tell ADSDAQ that if adsdaq can't pay $1.20, it should direct the ad request to your adsense account so that adsense (your next, lower paying ad network) can serve the ad. in effect, you will always get what your adsense pays currently, but now the payout can be better if adsdaq can pay the cpm YOU set. sign up is simple - url above.. all you have to do is put the adsdaq java script code on your site wherever your current ad code (such as adsense) is. how is that? make sense? Question 4: ad net = ad network such as adsense
I still dont get "should direct the ad request to your adsense account so that adsense" how exactly that will happen? So in generall you might get more CPM and loose all PPC earnings? or did I misunderstood?
giorgi - respectfully, you misunderstood. first, i'd suggest trying to sign up and you'll see what i mean. but here's some explanation.. let me know if this helps. CPM and CPC earnings really talk about the same thing... to be clear, with adsdaq you do NOT lose PPC earnings (or cpc earnings). here's how cpc and CPM are the same. Example: let's say, each time an ad is clicked it earns $.01 on your site. For every 1,000 views of that ad on your site, it gets clicked 50 times. So, you earn $.50 for every 1,000 impressions - also known as a $.50 CPM or a $.50 eCPM (effective cost per thousand impressions - google tells you this number in your adsense account). another example: this time, each time an ad was clicked on your site it earns .30 cents.. it was clicked 5 times yesterday. You earned $1.50 total. Your ad was shown 500 times. that's an effective CPM of $3.00. why? because CPM stands for cost per THOUsand impressions. if your ad had been shown 1,000 times yesterday, it would probably have had double the clicks (10 clicks) and double the earnings ($3.00). with either example, if you joined adsdaq, you would tell adsdaq you want to earn 10-20% more. if you're earning $.50 CPM, ask for $.55 or $.60 cpm. if adsdaq can't pay it, then tell adsdaq to send the request to your adsense account or whatever ad network you use. cpm is another way to express your cpc earnings and relate it to the number of times your ad is seen by visitors. hope this helps.
sounds like its worth a try but here you said how often does that happen? I mean how often can they pay more than adsense? and on what does that depend?
it really depends on a bunch of things.. such as... what cpm you're asking; what advertiser inventory is currently available on adsdaq; the content of your site (it's a contextual exchange) - if you have finance content, adsdaq will often fill your ad placements with finance related advertising. nice thing about adsdaq is no flashing ads like you get from other ad networks... its almost all high quality, name brand advertisers. i don't know why you would ever take adsdaq off the top of your advertising network chain.. just always ask the adsdaq exchange for the more than your next highest paying network.
There are several ad networks out there that will pass-through ads to another network of your choosing. I use Canep Media for this purpose. I set the minimum CPM and if their ad inventory doesn't meet my requirements I can show adsense or adbrite instead.
