How can I move my wordpress blog to another server?

What is the least painful way to move my wordpress blog? I want to change it from my current host to another one. The domain name will remain the same. Also, both hosts have cpanel. I know how to do the nameserver change thing, now I want to know the simplest way to move the blog itself.

    thanks

Do both your hosts have cPanel as their control panel?

switching to a new server is quick and simple wont even need to be any downtime.

transfer to your new host as you should know the ip of the newserver

once everything is transfered then switch nameservers

drop me a pm if you want it doing (small fee)

would`nt take more than 15-20 mins

Thx, this is the first tutorial I've found that describes how to do this with Fantastico. I have 6 wordpress sites I need to move in the next week or so. If I pay someone, about how much is a fair fee?

Way to go resurrecting an OLLLD thread.

Just to answer your question, if you have cpanel on your current host and on the new host that you'll be transferring to, you can ask them to do this for you. You do have to hand over some details of your current account over to them for this to work.
