JL, ShoeMoney posted a great list back in November. I use it quite often, in fact his page is bookmarked :)

Front page versus interior pages? Hmm.

I recommend altering the content on all your pages (incrementally) on an ongoing basis, but not so much as to change the keyword weight of a given page. I think new content belongs on new pages.

My basis for this is this: Look at a blog. the front page of a blog usually pulls terribly-targeted ads from adsense, because the adsense crawler is always lagging behind what's on that page. This causes poor ctr on that page, which may be your most visited page!
Interior pages of a blog (like permalink pages, not category pages) tend to have exceptionally good adsense targeting.

I believe this extrapolates to other types of websites as well. Your mileage may vary depending on how well-focused your content is overall.

Very nice...very nice indeed! I have achieved some similar success with a few of my sites but not all by linking from some of my older, mid PR sites. :)

It depends which SE are you targeting, for example Google values related links, while MSN's policy is the more, the better. And most of all, a kickstart would mean not being sandbox, which sometimes is sheer luck.

The best secret to success with adsense is having good content.

    The phrase:
"If you build it, they will come."
    comes to mind.

Build good unique content and build networking with related websites and you'll do well.

I think submission the free directories -especially over PR3 ones- is very exhausting but useful method. You can increase backlink values from 0 to 200-250 within 2-3 days. Offcourse it's not sufficent action without another trying. But it's a method and it's not unnecessary.

While building your good content, save a few write-ups and submit them to various article directories. This will help grow your backlinks fairly quickly.

    That is an awesome site!
Out of the 160 directories shown, my link for one site is only on 4 of them!
Wonder if at some point, all those directories I paid for submission to using 3 different submitters on this forum, if my site will get better linking and ranking?

Anyways, site is bookmarked by moi.
