iTrader suggestion

Instead of just showing a number of iTrades on a person's post (positive minus negative), it would be nice to see the number of positive iTraders and negative ones ontop of each other.

This is because you never know when a scammer can make a few legit deals, then perform some scams and still look like a respectable member. Not everyone checks peoples profile every time.

Maybe once they are scammed they'll learn to do that ;) In fact, a good idea IS to not only check the persons records, but to look into a few of the actual deals (both good & bad) especially the bad ones to make sure it was just not a miscommunication or worse, returned red for being scammed.

I'd assume that many of the reds are returned, and those count against a person. To show that in their posts will make even more people to not bothering to look into things a bit deeper and may actually cause more harm then good in the long run.

I think we should leave it as it is. It should be up to us to actually look deeper into someone's iTrader. If we show both a negative and positive number, it's only going to make the problems we have now a lot worse. People are only going to concentrate on that negative and not actually research what posts the person got iTrader for, how much $$$ the deals were for, or if the negative was in retaliation. I still see soooo many people that say they got scammed by someone with a decent iTrader number because they didn't actually look to see if this person was doing low $ transactions and buying/selling crap. If we put that negative number out there, I'm afraid that's all people are going to look at......

i think its a nice idea... and mods/admin should look at this... as it gives instant look to the person reputation so one should get immediately aware and it looks more pro like if we have positive and negative itrader settings...

    my review excellent idea...

I like your idea. I even like the idea that we could easily click a button to lead us to all that have left feedback for a specific thread. Okay, I'm just being lazy. :)

Now THAT could help more then other iTrader ideas I've seen. If you could check all the iTrader on a given thread it could help tell the difference between bogus iTrader and actual bad deals/Dealers!

It is a good idea and maybe it could be used where if the person has 0 negatives, it just doesn't show up...so only those who have negatives have it there. Also instead of under, I think it should be on the right. However, there is a difference between trader rating and positive feedbacks...

It is a good idea but iTrader tells only a small part. You need to look for past posts too. If you see someone trying to but fake bank accounts or VCCs to verify a paypal account, that is quite often an indication that they could be a scammer. It is your job to look out for yourself before dealing with anybody.

Why not make it like Ebay and have a percentage mark?

    Something like this:

But maybe not as complex as this.

I think it's a good idea however, it could mean people will get lazier and the people who do occassionally check profiles will stop, and just assume a negative itrader means the person is a bad person - because people could have negative itraders for reasons they shouldn't

Well two side by side iTrader brackets will be enough. like

    iTrader
    (Green) (Red)

ofcourse I am lazy to edit a screenshot. and those green and red will contain numbers of good n bad deals in green and red color.

    iTrader
    (10) (5)

That will be a simpler and yet effective solution on a single glance.

I always thoroughly Check out a persons past transactions but I guess if your somone who makes some kind of a living off DP and have over 300 itraders yourself then It might not be a bad idea.

I like that as well.. and it is in the iTrader profiles here.

Replacing the number in the post bit with something other then just the number of positives I think would certainly get people to actually start looking!
