encrypting footer and sponser links

If I wanted to distribute free templates how would I go about protecting the footer and sponsor links?

 

i read about this some where in google. try searching for "encrypting wp footer link" in google

 

only finding wp related searches "encrypting footer link" This is not for wp theme so the way it would be done would be different

 

It depends what sort of templates they are..... if they are simple HTML templates then there is nothing that you can do to ensure the links remain.

 

simply use php encoder softwares like ioncube

Thanks for this but like I had mentioned that is the article found on many sites and its for WP what I would want is for proxy themes and since they dont have a large amount of files its easier to remove these were as on WP you can hide the files easier.

 

For one, that's an original article. Secondly, with a bit of code modification, it's possible to do it for a Proxy template as well!

Guess I should have looked again. when I had searched for "encrypting footer link" or "encrypting wp footer link" I did get that article did not pay attention to the site and it was the one you mentioned. Sorry for saying it was on other sites
