Internet addiction seems to be an increasing problem nowadays. I guess there are many Net addicts on this forum as well. Since it can has pretty serious consequences, would it make sense to begin having warning messages on places like Internet forums and chats, simular to the warning messages on cigarette boxes? Would that make any sense? Do you think it's just a question of time until such warning message begin to appear? Or don't you consider Net addiction to be a problem at all? See alao library.albany.edu/briggs/addiction.html
I am addicted to the internet for sure... I spend almost every hour of my day being no more that 15 feet from my computer. I guess its becasue I think I am going to hit it big some day lmao. Oh well... I HEart You Internet!
Lol @ Cky47. It's too easy to become addicted to the net. I go through phases of being on here LOOOOOOOOOADS, and other times not at all. I really love the internet though. A little too much, I guess. I could never NOT go on my computer at least once a day! I can't really see there being warnings on forums and chat boards like there are on packets of fags though. But then again saying that...It is becoming a widely recognised problem. So who knows, eh. This time next year - Warning: Could kill...your social life. ~Internetaholics anonymous..coming soon to a hall near you..!~
Defaintly a net addict here. If I'm not at work or sleeping I'm online or at least at my computer. hehe, defaintly suffering for it.
Because some of you guys are online SO much, do you not feel like you're missing out on living a fun normal internet-less life though? Sometimes I wish I wasn't on here so much, if you let it - it can easily take over your offline life.
Had enough of a normal internet-less life as a teen. I now have a bad memory due to running in front of a car while chasing someone then to much dope. I'll stick to the internet for now, it's less damage
Pretty much everything I do is on the internet, thank god I have a GF! Everything from my work, to finding my house and office to purchase was done online.
Well, I don't think that message will also be applied on the internet.. On what ground they should put it?
Well something like this: Excessive usage of Internet forums and chats can lead to social isolation, lack os sense for reality, bla bla whatever, please try to limit your Internet usage to a reasonable degree.
I must say i do have an addiction to the itnernet. I'm always on it and i work from home so i don't need to be on it anymore than I do. it's ridiculous.
I am so addicted to the internet that i spend almost all day on it. I am either freelancing or watching movies or playing games.
I think Internet addiction is not a big problem! because not a few people who live off the income on the internet.
