Are the signature links nofollow links?

i was just wondering whether the links in the signature on dp forum are nofollow links.

whether it is going to help improve SERP in any way?

 

The sig links do not have the nofollow attribute and they DO help improve SEO efforts.

its easy to check nofollow for yourself
just right click on a document and "view source"
look for the link if its nofollow it would be like this

but no DP does not have nofollow on the links
so it can theoretically pass some link value

while on the subjects there are lots of games played with

That's an option that can be switched by the admin (IIRC), most forums around have the no follow, but still, it's a great way to advertise your services in a forum.

use firefox and use the seo for firefox extenstion and it will show you nofollow links in bright red

 

dp links are definitely "do follow" links and not no follow links. This is one of the reason for the popularity of the dp forum. I was astonished to the sig links in some other forums (like smartaliens.com), it was no follow

 

You will find signature links help more in terms of traffic than they do in SERP results.

 

DP's signature links are do follow which is great since most forums out there prefer their signature links to be no-follow.

 

If outgoing links get you penalized in Google than why is DP ranking so well with all of these unrelated dofollow outgoings?

 

DP uses dofollow so it is counted as a backlink by search engines

 

Signature in DP is not a nofollow link...I'm using a tool that can detect nofollow without seeing the code...a good and quality backlinks can help your SERP...
