Hi, i used the tool at seochat.com and at iwebtool.com but both brought about different results. predicted pagerank by iwebtool for one of my sites shows pr6 whilst the future pagerank at seochat just shows it as 0. currently the site is pr0. what do you think? who is right? naqi
I tried them too and I think that the outcome they give is useless. This is in answer to "future pagerank - which is right?". Forgot to quote it.
Predicting PR is impossible therefore all online services claiming they do predict it are either some schemes either made for fun. My favourite one is Rustybrick's tool: http://www.rustybrick.com/pagerank-prediction.php
Seochat tool is not for future PR. Seochar tool is when PR is changing and we want to see PR across the datacenters. About iwebtool: I haven't used too much, but is seems good, but I don't know very well how it works though. The tool I used is rankit.free.fr This tool, what it does, is to search in Google XML where last year it was foung a tag named RK. This tag shows a number between 0 and 10. The number in that suspicious tag has always been a mistery, but lots of people report is shows what coud be real PR. I and some folks on my forum have been testing this tool for 3 PR updates this year. In 80-90% cases the PR we got was the PR this tool showed. Is not easy to check if this tool is right, cause Google, when updates visible PR, uses data 2 weeks old.
I get this.....can you translate it for me. Cette url fait peut être une redirection ou n'apparait pas dans la première page de résultats, désolé...
This made URL can be a redirection or does not appear in the first page of results, sorry... http://babelfish.altavista.com
That's another myth. Actually, RK is a reference to "Raquel Klink", the name of one of Matt Cutt's Dobermans. The number is believed to be a record of how many door-to-door salesmen and Jehovah's Witnesses Raquel took out in the previous 24 hours.
I have almost 20 websites and I checked their 'future' PR on several sites, just to check how accurate(?) these tools are. The results were hillarious. The websites with monthly visits of 40-50 and no backlinks were shown to have increase in the page rank by 3 and 4. The websites with high number of visitors and backlinks were shown downgrading of PR. Final conclusion: Keep doing what is best for your websites and wait until Google itself shows you where you stand.
These tools are not very reliable predictors. I checked a site on one of these tools a couple days ago and it predicted the future PR as -1. WTF?! Is there such a thing as a -1 PR?
