Competition for forum posting companies

Discussion in 'Content Creation' started by gworld, Jan 25, 2006.

I think we can all agree that:

1- Forum posting service is useful and in demand for forums.

2- It seems many including I had bad experience with these type of companies and are reluctant to use any of these companies any more including new ones that post here and claim to be professional.

I want to give a chance to these new companies and also find a reliable company for myself and others to use later on. There fore if you have this kind of company then you can participate in this competition.

Each company can post 100 post for $10 in my forum and you can also post the nick names that you are using in my forum. The duration of this competition will be 2 weeks and it starts when we have 5 participant. The winner will be chosen by a poll here in DP but more important everyone will have the possibility to see the quality of your work. If you believe in your work quality then step up and prove it.

You will be posting in my forum Gentlemen's Cafe which is a general forum and easy to post.

There is only 5 place in this competition, so Post in this thread with your company name if you like to participate. :)

the problem w/a competition like this is (of course) that the companies will put their 'best foot forward' in this situation. it may not be reflection of their actual work.

At least we can see if they have anybody that can actually post anything reasonable, the previous company I used was useless.
The other positive point, I imagine will be that winning company will get enough work from here that it makes it important for them to care about quality so they can continue to get more work.

Agreed, but if someone does really well in this competition, you could point out to their threads here and say that you are willing to hire them if they will assure you of similar quality. I really like this forum posting competition idea and will be watching closely.

    Hey gworld -

Can I add on thing though since the reason for this contest is a bad suggestion from me. I actually paid several companies around that same amount for 100 posts to figure out who had the best posts.

    The problem is twofold:
1.) Most of these companies have a bidding system with their freelancers so you can get someone great at first then someone horrible the next time (This happened to me with BostonJM's service)

2.) After a recomendation they can get overwhelmed or sick of doing it then stiff everyone (Like paidposts.com did)

Just my .02 as I have given up on these services at this point with paidposts being the final straw

    I won't be participating. $10 for 100 posts isn't what I do.
It's just a way for you to get cheap posts IMO.

I was going to ask the place I work for to enter but $10 for 100? That's too cheap!

If you win the contest and garner quite a few new clients, wasn't it a wise investment though?

I am buying products with unknown quality from companies that at present time most users in DP think are useless. I am paying the same amount that I pay if I hired an individual to do posting for me. Because you will post the users handle here, every body knows that these are not real users and it is of very little use for me but it helps me and others here to find a good supplier for such services.

From business point of view this is much more useful for companies that participate since they get a chance to prove themselves and generate more business for their services and I am very surprised as some one who suppose to be doing business on Internet, you can not see the value.

I have checked your web site and you charge $33 for 100 post and since you are very concerned about money, I will pay you the difference of $23 if you win the poll for the best company here.

I believe if you have enough confidence in your products, you should have no problem in participating now.

Ah well, I can list about 50 people from DP who are happy enough with my service.

As others have said, the best and only way to conduct such a survey/review would be to order from each service as a normal customer would - restaurant reviewers don't ask for cheap/free meals so they can review it and I don't see how this is any different.

I neither have the time nor need to enter, but thanks for the offer anyway.

I don't think you should complain because you are one of the people who started this mess that we can not trust any of these type of services. I was one of the people who bought from paidposts.com that you had and we all know what a disaster it was.

I am trying to find a reliable supplier for my needs and others here but in your case we already know the answer.

Are you saying that I am the owner of paid posts and cause a mess?
    I Don't Own Paid Posts!
Never did. Morgan was the person who owned the site and now she sold it to someone else which I don't know who.

    From another thread here:

I don't know if you owned it or not but I remembered that you were involved with that.

How was I involved with it? I was working (poster) for her for like 5 or 6 months ago, So because Morgan or whoever ran a horrible business when i quit way before that, I am the bad one here?
And I never even worked on any job, because at that time, all jobs were filled and only casino jobs were left I believe, I quit after a while because I found a better company. if you don't believe then don't, because you are getting upset at me because I used to be one of is writers. Or maybe I don't know after I quit, when I quit, business WAS going great.
All I said was that Morgan sold the site to someone else, is that a crime?

Relax Harmony. gworld is a flaming lunatic; don't take anything he says seriously.

No one with an IQ higher than room temperature is going to hold anything against you based upon gworld's opinions.

I don't normally agree with gworld, but on this one, I think he has a good idea to test out these companies. If they have a good product, show it off. on a few threads, the quality of purchased posts has not been the best.

    lol. trying to be calm.
well I guess a "newbie" like me is really a easy to get upset person.

I am just trying to prove that "paid posts" scam a lot of people was not because of me. I mean I didn't take your money.
