    Not sure about everyone else, but the crap I have been seeing isnt old data, unless we are going back something like 18 months. My indexed page total is scary low right now. Rankings and PR are unchanged.

    You need to start checking more than one DC to see real changes. At any time, a local DC can easily contain one year old data. Toodles!

    Do you guys think this may be related to the problem in seeing the cached version of existing site?

    Sorry, didn't mean to be rude with my first reply, there have just been too many update posts, and usually people are jumping the gun :) . It does look like something's happening, I wouldn't call it an update yet though.

    I can confirm one person who has had PR move up from 4 to 5. double checked his with the seochat tool and one DC showed 4, the rest were at 5. Definately not old data, as this is a new mountain for him to have climbed.

    I can confirm there is something happening. A competitor that we track has not only earlier today lost pages indexed but also, which I thought was quite strange was at a certain page point within the indexed pages, the site was only showing 2 pages per page on Google for this site. I have always saw 10 pages per google indexed pages.

    This site also was showing no descriptions for a lot of pages that previously had them. So I dont know if it is an update but if not we are about to see one I believe.

    ::Breathing Slower::

    Okay... other data centers are showing 1.2 million. I used to have 1.5 and then at some point, for whatever reason, something happened and I started loosing indexed pages, it got down to around 700,000 and then I worked to get things right again and finally just got over a million again the other day.

    Then I see the 52,000 and I just about died. Cause, I thought... ah, maybe things are going to finally get back to normal, but who knows. Another roller-coast ride?

    I told my wife this morning that Google is a terrorist. They cause way to much terror in our lives, the live by their own laws, and for the most part, are very unpredictable.

    I have checked every datacenter at mcdar and my indexed pages are down to a range of 522-588. I am showing that via API results as of today as well.

    This is a drop of several thousand, although my backlinks jumped up from 525 to just under 1,000.

    When you perform at site:mydomain.com on google, you get the number of pages google has indexed. When you look on the page after performing this search string, you see 10 listings per page of your domain. In this case of looking at this competitors site, once I got to page 84 of 100 it was only showing 2 listings per page, which I have never seen this, I have always seen 10 listings per page...sorry I kind of screwed the pooch on the way I phrased it before..does this make sense?
