No, it's not streaming footage. Those satellites only pass over a certain square on earth once every couple of years and then the imagery will normally be commercially available first to milk the money before it becomes public.

I am very much astonished by seeing clarity of picture specially Hong Kong Airport display every aeroplane standing there.
It means Google's Satellite can see me in my shop as well ;)

Google earth was formerly a company/program called Keyhole. They basically just bought it and slapped the Google logo on it. It integrates various sources of satellite imagery some hi-res (metro areas), some low. As said before, many of the sources are several years old. Google does not own a "Google Earth" satellite yet:)

There are still lot of places in the world that are blurry especially outside metropolitan cities. Small cities and towns are blurry. These farmland and isolated villages should also be available. It the satellite passes over head then how it miss lot of land around major cities. We need full map of whole earth rather than few major cities.

Crazy how close you can get and in so much detail.

Sure that would be nice, but realistically speaking, that would be far too expensive.

Google earth is just a picture 3d of the whole earth pixel by pixel in giant scale. :p It never moves lol, think there is a camera outside in the space gravitating arround the earth just to fit the cutsomers needs so he can see his house because he is lazy looking out the window! No thats science fiction dude lol
