You didn't mentioned where does traffic coming from to your blog. If it is coming from forums then it is obvious. Because in forums almost 98% people knows what Adsense is. Getting click or High CTR would increase if you get traffic from Search Engines, as the visitors are curios about the topic.

You need to blend your ads better. This will most assuredly increase your CTR.

I guess its an issue of the type of traffic you are getting. People in the IM niche are generally vary of clicking on adsense ads where as the general public is pretty clueless.

I think you need to work on formatting of the site and placement of the ads.

It could be slighly better, but you are seeng just about average results.

For most products, it is one half to one percent.

Adsense and similiar ads sucks in click throughs.

You want more clicks? Get more visitors, and or put in ads on sex, and free or almost free stuff.

Make sure your adds are relevant to the topic- if the googlebots get confused the will likely give you adds about blogging, which isn't likely to atract your readers. At the moment I see adds about Iowa (fair enough) and screen savers. Surely there's something more relevant that screensavers? Try to throw a few more keywords into your posts.

Experiment a bit with your layout and the add formats. At the moment it isn't easy to read, and the adds stick out randomly.
