few adsense tips post your related experiance, sugessions, comments 1) use of "curiocity" in content 2) dealing with boring or untargetted ads 3) video-sense so lets gets started with the first one..... primary question is .... who clicks ? i found 3 major rules 1) people who are curious and want to know more 2) people who are bored and something just catches their eye 3) people who are looking to "buy" something (if you know of any more categories, do post them) so, dealing with these rules, 1) people who are curious click........ if you follow this rule, then you need to make people more curious to increase your clickthrough rate i tried this method, with my newsletter and found out that when you make people curious, click-through rate actually does increases how to make them curious ? introduce them to new interesting concepts example, telling someone about "adsense" when they are just a n00b webmaster or blogger who has never heard of adsense... would make them curious remember, we are not trying to break any rules here, we are just using our page content as a psychological tool (and ofcourse, dont expect this example to work in the real world, i dont thing there is a blogger out there who hasnt heard of adsense) (comments invited have you ever tried any such tactic ? , i ll post the remaining 2 rules here in a few hrs) (namaste from india thank you, come again)
People looking to buy something works also. If you write about product and have it listed on site with ads for it they do click. It can lower sales of product you sell and cost you money also.
I think the majority of Internet browsers DON'T know what adsense is. Sure, you and I do because we make webpages, post on DP, know about online marketing, etc. But the average person browsing the Internet does NOT know what adsense ads are. If they're blended well enough, they often click on them not realizing they're advertising. And, oftentimes, the ad links take them where they want to go anyway. And, yes, curiosity and boredom play a part too....
I agree with this. I know many of my friends who are like this, they only use the net to find what they want, often clicking on ads not even realizing it was an ad. They don't even care, as long as they find what they were looking for.
yep for people who are bored, you can try image ads, and for people who are looking to buy something a wide range of choice would make sense so...... big units, which can show more options
