Does Google ever "Miss" Clicks

According to adsense tracker I had a click about 8 hours ago which isn't showing up on my report page.

Does google ever miss clicks or can it sometimes take this long to update - the pageviews seem to be updating ok.

Maybe it was an invalid click so google didn't count it.

It's a possibility I guess....but judging by the IP it was one of my regular members who clicked it. And it wasnt a public service add either.

i use asrep, and there are always discrepancies between the clicks reported by asrep and the clicks reported by adsense. i dont really care to be honest.

maybe you should email google and find out, i'd be curious about their response.

I received my first zero income click the other day -- it was on a site that has a ton of content but no relevant ads, so I'm assuming it was a PSA.

I could care less if Google misses a click here or a click there, as long as they're doing the job needed to make sure that my ads are applicable to my readers. There are enough people out there watching Google, so I trust their skills to see if things every get out of hand.

Google updates their stats an estimated every hour or so. If you logged it with some tracker and the clicks didn't show up in the stats that means they were not valid clicks according to google.

I noticed this using addfreestats. I've got three clicks today, but so far google has only shown 1 click. And these clicks happened early in the morning. I don't think they're invalid (I certainly didn't click them), and I know they're not PSAs. I hope Google isn't deciding to stiff me...
