Which is the best sitemap gen?

 

I find Xml Sitemap is the best

 

well , i'm using GS Site Crawler , and I found it best for xml sitemap

 

Tried them all tonight, I recommend http://www.auditmypc.com/xml-sitemap.asp

 

I used to have a free account on http://www.freesitemapgenerator.com

But recently they limited it to 5000 pages only. But if your site is less then 5000 pages then it is good one.

I use the free tool available at freesitemapgenerator.com which is very good

 

I mentioned this in another thread but it's worth mentioning again. I simply created a PHP script that generates my sitemap for me. It only took about half an hour to write, it's free, instant, always up-to-date and gives me more control over what the sitemap contains. Free sitemap generators don't know when the URLs on my site were last modified or how often they are updated. I know all this information and my script puts it in my sitemap.

If you know PHP, you can probably write your own script faster than a free sitemap generator could crawl your site.

I use sitemap generator from www.wonderwebware.com. I think you can try it. it work effectively,just not so professionally. But the developer are improving it.

I created a new site 2 months ago. It was picked up by Alexa almost right away, and indexed quickly in Yahoo, MSN and other search engines but after 3 weeks still nothing in Google.

Then I found Gsitemap. I created a robot.txt file to only crawl the directories I wanted and used this software to create and submit a sitemap. My site started showing up in Google within a few days. So, 2 thumbs up from me.

I've tried gsitecrawler and it's not too bad. However if using wordpress it has a few good plugins that do this aswell.
