How does iwebtool pagerank predictor work?

    Hey,
Im just wondering, how does the iwebtool pagerank predictor work? Ive checked a few of my sites and ive been predicted to PR5s, which although sounds wonderful I find a bit too high...
I tried checking on their site but I couldnt find how it actually works...

Do they count backlinks...or do they check googles data centres?

    Thanks,
    pete

i don't know how accurate iwebtool pagerank predictor is because my site was predicted PR 6 and then it went down to PR 4 the next day...then back to PR 6 the day after

I'm still at a PR5. But I don't know how it works. It seems to check multiple stations of some sort. When you select Check as in the form 5(Check) I got this

    Rank_1:1:3 Rank_1:1:3 Rank_1:1:3 Rank_1:1:4 Rank_1:1:4 Rank_1:1:5 Rank_1:1:3 Rank_1:1:3 Rank_1:1:4 Rank_1:1:2 Rank_1:1:3 Rank_1:1:5 Rank_1:1:4 Rank_1:1:3 Rank_1:1:4

Don't know what to make of that.

I believe those tools and predictions no more.

My Blog pagerank predicted was 4.

After the update it stood on PR1.

    God save me!

I guess this tool is pretty accurate. It predicted my site to be PR 4.4 and I got PR4 after the update. Cool!

yup it is accurate.. atleast it is 98% accurate for me because it gives me a hint that i am getting PR4 for a site.. and in last update i got it... then it tells me i am getting PR3 for another site.. and i got it in this update (2days ago) but it is not telling me another site which i started a month ago and got PR 1 in this update..

Generally a prediction tool can work like :
Find all backlinks, take the link PR and nofollow tags into account, find how many other links are on the page, get the correct % of how much is passed over to you, make a prediction.
That can take a loooong time to predict so iwebtool probably does : get # of backlinks and predict - there was an article somewhere that said : you need x backlinks to get pr x. Prediction tools can not be trusted especially with G's latest changes :)
