At least 38 people were killed on Friday in a suicide bombing at a northwest Pakistan mosque, where a former interior minister was offering Muslim Eid festival prayers with worshippers http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20071221/ts_nm/pakistan_blast_dc
There are muslims that are sympathic to the terrorists. A terrorist doesn't care about anyone nor respect anything. It is certainly an outrage that terrorist would target a place of worship with a suicide bombing.
It was said suring the French Revolution that "the revolution devours its own children" In an Al-Jazeera Poll it was found 49.9% of Muslims support Osama bin Laden http://eye-on-the-world.blogspot.com/2006/09/al-jazeera-poll-499-of-muslims-support.html
Sad, a terrorist is terrorist, certainly they have no religion, those supporting them too are the same.
It's like befriending a crackhead and bringing him into your house. You know that he's going to rob you and may even kill you.
The numbers don't surprise me at all and I actually thought it would be higher as the the West isn't wanted in the middle east which helps Bin Laden's support. No mention of the geographic location of those who voted and as one of the comments said, its an internet poll so its somewhat worthless - these can be falsified very easily.
Indeed. But first, peace to the 38-50 (BBC - NYTimes) Pakistanis that were killed in the attack. I, for one, have all the respect in the world for Islam but terrorism is just that - terrorism. You can't justify it no matter what your excuse is. As for Muslims supporting Bin Laden, which totally unsettles me, I see it synonymous to Americans backing Bush. Not my intention to offend anybody but I can't seem to differentiate between Bush and Laden. If bin Laden was indeed behind the 911, what about all the children buried in Iraq's sand? Isn't Bush just as responsible for those Middle-Eastern murders that go unnoticed? Of course, I know plenty of Americans who'd celebrate the day Bush outlives his term and steps out of the white house and if you ask me, it's the same with Muslims. The majority of the Muslim world feel bin Laden is a stain upon their religion, contrary to what 'they' tell you. This isn't the perfect thread for me to discuss this but I just had to say it. In my opinion, it's unreasonable to hate on an entire religion or race just because of all the lies the media shoves down our throats. And as a side note, I'm not a Muslim, never have been, never will be but I love and respect Islam as much as my own faith. Cheers and peace.
Very true and thats the thing about terrorists, they use religion as an excuse which gives religion a bad name the world over. In reality they are just evil scum. There is no justification in killing any human being and nobody has the right to dedicate who should live or die.
