President Bush has approved "a significant reduction" in the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile, cutting it to less than one-quarter its size at the end of the Cold War, the White House said Tuesday.

Ya, right move. I guess the maintenance costs were too high, and Bush wants tactical bunker buster nukes now. He knows Americans are smart, and he ain't going to get away by nuking a city.

that's what HE says, u never know he might just double the stockpile in the next 3 yrs!
and he might even nuke some god-forsaken nation perhaps to get rid of some other 'dictator'

Bush only has about a year left in office. You must be confusing him with someone else that is trying to stay in office for life like Fidel Castro, Chavez and Putin.

He cut it because we had signed an agreement with Russia years ago that said we would do it, not because he just "wanted to".

The US keeps its agreements. Reducing the amount of nuclear weapons is a good step forward.

Does Putin hurt you much if he stays "for life" as you said? :)

you are not gonna see another drunk Eltsin, who sold the whole uranium to US, sorry :D

I think that deal was completed ages ago by both sides in 90's.
