Hi Friends I have a doubt regd site which provides user to go to have their own webpages, but can be accessed with a "~". For example faculty & student pages in Universities. I guess Google also indexes these pages. Can anybuddy throw some light on how google is able to reach these pages??? Thanks,
hi dave, what i want is the technique Google uses to reach upto these pages.. Anyway thanks for ur reply..
Somewhere there is a link to them and Google finds them. Whether that link is from your main site or on another site the user has created, I don't know
@ yfs1 Hi ysf1 I don't think student pages in Univ will have links on the College site.. But they are also indexed.. Can anybuddy throw some light on this.. Thanks,
If there are no links to the pages but they are on an established domain which does have links pointing to it you should use the google sitemaps feature to get your pages indexed.
Thanks dave for a clue.. Does it mean Google Bot takes help of cached pages on proxies for indexing??
