Hi guys, I understand that article submission is one of the most effective ways of promoting a website. I've got a doubt though. Is it okay to submit the same article to a number of directories and sites? I write a great article and then I submit it to say, 50 directories/sites. Is it okay or will it be considered duplicate content by search engines? Could someone explain? Thanks in advance for your time.
I know at least Google will regard it as duplicate content. Jason Green was promoting some website that spins articles so that they are regarded as "different" by search engines. I wish I had added it to favorite's, and if anyone knows what website I'm talking about...(spin something?) please include it here. I would highly recommend using one of those article spinners to avoid duplicate content.
hey dmnash, are you talking about the one introduced in the following thread? http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=321921
Solo, That wasn't it. This one was promoted by Jason Green and could turn "one article" into "100 different ones" by changing titles, headlines, and paragraph structure/wording. It seemed completely legitimate and I really wish I could remember the name of it, because I was planning to use it for my own business. Usually I remember this stuff but..dropped the ball on it. Thanks for looking though! I know it was posted in the last month or two..I'm going to try and see if I can find it.
Score, Here is the thread: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=581688&highlight=article+spin And this is what Jason Green was referring to: http://jetsubmitter.com/ IMO the thread is worth reading also since it has some awesome points on affiliate marketing.
dmnash, thanks very much mate. I checked out the thread you mentioned. It was really informative. Clarified many a doubt. Thanks again.
