Sure it looks ok, but why would someone use that? If your viewers are watching TV, they'll be watching TV. If they are on the internet, you can embed videos onto your normal .com page.
I use .TV domains when the .com is not available and it somewhat makes more sense to have .tv when it is like they are watching TV on the net..
Unless your going to start your own tv website or are just buying for investment then they are limited in their use.
.tv is in use many places .tv is versatile but not generic like .com most newbies are regging some very crappy .tvs . development is my plan with my names(all not just .tv) not waiting on somebody to say i want to buy your name for 1 million andu dont have to " start your tv website" is not the only option by far.
.tv is more memorable than some of the other tld's available. The biggest problem with .tv is their pricing stradegy, premium domains cost more. That hurts their market. .tv could of been bigger than .mobi or any other one tld.
.Tv is memorable, and is a good TLD for TV channel's But for anything else, I don't see any point in buying one.
i have made some nice money with .tv. more and more sites are using them if they are showing any sort of video. your right when you say why not just put a video on a com, but like someone else said, alot of people are grabbing a good generic word, instead of using a 3 word com. the premiums do suck- but, there are a TON of incredible generics that are selling that are not premium. just ask before you buy. .tv is coming into its own, on its own. i think next year yyou are going to see a much more stable extension in .tv just because of the direction the internet is taking. next year, all laptops that roll of the hewlett packard line will have Next.tv pre-installed. large companies are using it to present showcased videos of their productline- like mercedes: Mercedes-Benz.tv (awesome site) little by little, you are going to see more and more-
Random useless trivia for those who didn't know... The .tv extension is really meant to signify the nation of the Tuvalu Islands. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.tv Some nice scratch from sharing their extension.
I reckon it would be good for a transvestite adult site, but thats about it. and no, thats no interest of mine
I always prefer .com which is most generic domain extension. If I know the name but don't remember the site address then I would search .com first.
oh c'mon everyone knows that .com is king and all the generics are taken. If a generic is open in the .tv extension with high overture and a non-premium price, you would be a fool not to snag it. I suspect that should .tv's brandability appeal to the masses who are taking up domaining and development in record numbers, the .tv extension, there is a chance albeit a small one that the .tv extension could dethrone some of the big guys just behind .com. If you pay attention to your the domain extensions of websites advertised on television, you will see more and more companies are using .tv names...maybe its not a large share of the market but all it takes is a sliver to get things started. This domain game is still early. Even the Internet is arguably still in its infancy. Any judgements now could be premature. If you have ever played Monopoly, chances are that you were not a big fan of paying big money for properites like Park Place and Boardwalk. The .tv extension is to other domain extensions like Boardwalk and Park Place are to the other properties in Monopoly.... allthings.tv/web/index.php/article/domaining_the_tv_extension_and_monopoly/ The .tv extension's future is not as dim as many think.
yeah! it looks great if you use it for video site rather than you use .com! If I own a site like that (video site), I'll use .TV too.
.TV is like .MOBI ... great for domain speculators to play musical chairs with and fool themselves to think they have something special ... the rest of the world worships .COM
